Our Curriculum & State-Accredited Programs

At Learning Tree Academy, our curriculum is designed to support every aspect of a child’s growth—cognitive, emotional, social, and physical. We follow a developmentally appropriate, research-based approach that balances structured learning with exploratory play, encouraging children to become confident, curious, and capable learners.

We are proud to be a 5-Star Accredited Center under New Mexico’s FOCUS program, which represents the highest standard of quality in early childhood education. This means we meet rigorous criteria for learning environments, teacher qualifications, child assessment, and family engagement.

New Mexico Pre-K & Early Pre-K

As an approved provider for both New Mexico Pre-K (for children aged 4) and Early Pre-K (for children aged 3), we are committed to giving every child a strong start before kindergarten. These state-funded programs are free for eligible families and offer a structured, nurturing setting where children develop early literacy, math, social, and problem-solving skills.

  • NM Pre-K (4 years old): Prepares children for success in kindergarten with a focus on readiness skills.
  • Early NM Pre-K (3 years old): Introduces foundational learning experiences through play-based instruction.

Daily Experiences

Our curriculum includes literacy and language development, early math, science discovery, creative expression through art and music, outdoor play, and social-emotional learning. Each classroom is thoughtfully designed to encourage imagination and foster independence.

We assess each child’s progress regularly and work closely with families to support learning goals tailored to individual needs.
